Press Release August 15th, 2008: The NEW 96.3 Capital FM launched on March 28th of this year with a mantra of “Life’s Good, Sing Along.” People have embraced the station playing “Edmonton’s Greatest Hits.” Along with the great music of the 60s 70s and 80s, The NEW 96.3 Capital FM reunites two of the most popular morning hosts in this city’s history, Rob Christie and Audie Lynds.
Capital FM’s Program Director, Craig Fee, says “they’ve won the Gold Medal at the International Radio Festival of New York as the best morning show in the world. It’s clear to me why they dominated the Edmonton radio market for many years, and I’m thrilled they’re together again on The NEW 96.3 Capital FM.”
Rob Christie weighed in by saying, “I like peanut butter.”
Audie Lynds echoed with, “I love lamp.”
You can expect legendary characters like Mr. Maynard, Captain Eyeliner and Earl the Soul Singer to join Rob & Audie in the Morning. It’s also unsafe to answer the phone in Edmonton now that “Christie’s Kidding” is pulling chains and yanking legs all over the city. (Note: This news release written on a patio.)
